About Tom - Tom Williams Yacht Designs
Tom Williams is a Graduate of the Landing School Marine Systems and Yacht Design Programs and has additional training and experience with AutoCad, Revit, LandsDesign, and Vray.
He also has extensive experience as a wooden boatbuilder – being involved in both commercial and pleasurecraft construction for many years.
While Tom’s designs influences are traditional, he has a keen interest in merging traditional pleasurecraft design with modern construction techniques, modern amenities and accommodations, and emerging propulsion and energy technologies, such as diesel/hybrid electric, electric, hydrogen fuel cell systems, and solar and wind generating systems.
He has enjoyed many misadventures in his lifetime to date, including working as a school bus driver – there is no better way to develop patience.
Tom is the proud father of two adult children – Thomas and Sheila
When Tom is not spending time trying to invent a perpetual motion machine, he is searching for his own quiet corner of the world.
Tom currently resides in Nobleton, Ontario.
